SECRET TO SUCCESS IN PSALM 1
states” blessed is the man who walks not in the council of the ungodly.
nor stands in the path of sinners. Nor sits in the seat of scoffers.
But his delight is in the law of the lord and in his law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season.
Its leaves will not wither and whatever he does will prosper“
I have put the emphasis on walks not , nor stands, nor sits.In the words of this psalms lies the secret to success in what you do.
UNDERSTANDING PSALM 1 IS YOUR SECRET TO SUCCESS
The council you take in your walk is related to your prosperity.
what you stand for,and the pathway you stand, is directly related to the prosperity of
the works of your hands. Where you sit and with whom you are comfortable with
is related to the works of your hands. Those are wonderful promises isn’t it? Very wonderful promises. but i’ve always said that God’s salvation is free. But the ability to enjoy the blessings that come with God’s
salvation is conditional.
There are things that you need to fulfill.
Thank God and bless God for givIng us the instructions in the bible to follow.
God is faithful to bring to pass what he said will happen to you when you do what he said you should do.
SECRET TO SUCCESS OF THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS
Three things you should not do if you want the works of your hands to be blessed. This is a biblical secret to success for the works of your hands-
1.Mind where you walk and with whom you walk and from whom you take counsel.
2.What do you stand for.
3. Where are you seated
I take the first one. “Bless is a man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly”. My one question is
who is the ungodly ?I mean when you think of the word ungodly what comes to your
mind is somebody that is maybe a murderer or an adulterer. The ungodly is different from a sinner.
this sinner is somebody that commits sin most times unknowingly. Sometimes because of a weakness of his
nature. Sometimes because of something he cannot control and later is remorseful about it.
A sinner is somebody that probable fears God but they find themselves doing things they shouldn’t do.
An ungodly person on the other hand is sombody that knows vt he laws of God but decidespurposely to move contrary to that law
OTHER TOPICS THAT MIGHT INTEREST YOU
A person that depends solely on his own intellect and common sense
The ungodly depends solely on the ways of the flesh and blatantly disregards the ways of God.
when you go to get counsel from such a person
that you know disregards the ways and laws of God,then you’re taking council from the ungodly.
By doing this, you’re shutting up success to the works of your hands.Before we get to the conditions,let us answer a few questions
CAN UNGODLY COUNCIL COME FROM ONLY UNGODLY PEOPLE?
The life of an ungodly person most times is obvious. As a child of God,you will definitely not go to such a person for council. The challenge is to be able to discern ungodly counsel from a christian brother or sister.
How would you know that the council is ungodly?
let me show you something in the book of Matthew 16 vs 21-23
21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
It simply means that you can have a counsel from a friend that means well.
Now why would God say to Peter get behind me satan. I mean if I were Peter that is exactly what I would say.
I am sure If Peter had known that satan was using him to say those words, Peter will not say it .
This is where the challenge is. How do you know God’s counsel? Geting to know Gods counsel is a process.
First is to meditate on Gods words day and night.
it is not just enough for you to read God’s word.
You need to meditate on it to make it come alive.!
Because when you meditate on the words you begin to know the counsel of God.
And distinguish it from the counsel of men and from your own counsel.
We will now discourse the conditions to fullfill as the secret to success for what you lay your hands to do.
WHAT YOU STAND FOR AND THE SECRET TO SUCCESS
In your daily life what do you stand for?.
For instance, you start working in a place and people are doing things anyhow. Things that
you know , should not be done.
Perhaps you notice that people are taking company funds and putting in their pockets.
Or they are inflating financial statements.
You know in your conscience as a child of god that this activity is wrong.
Do you follow the way of the people or do you stand and say no.
I can’t do this.
where do you stand in your normal daily activities .It’s a question we all need to ask ourselves fequently.
Because it’s so directly connected to the works of our hands.It is one of the secrets to success.
The third condition is to watch where you sit.
Who do you sit with .?Who are the people you are comfortable with?Do you sit with people that make a mockery of the things of God ?
Do you sit with people that scorn you and shut you up when you bring God into ussues? Or perhaps with
people that make a jest about the things of God.
They joke with it they look at it as something that is not serious or is a waste of time
These are scoffers.
Are those the kind of people you sit and have tea or drinks with?
Then it is time to Change your friends. Because the people you sit with is related to the success of the work of your hands.The youtube video below explains more on how you can be lead by the spirit .For it is only when you walk by the spirit that you can fullfill Gods counsel.This is also one of the secrets to success of what you lay your hands to do.
