When we have no control over some seemingly negative events in our lives ,we get frustrated.
The knowledge of Gods ways ,removes these frustrations.
WHY DO WE GET FRUSTRATED
I tried to put together a jigsaw puzzle without having the main picture. It took me over an hour . You can imagine my frustration .
Maybe if I had an idea of what the picture looked like I might be able to put it together faster.
You might be wondering why would I waste my time putting together a jigsaw puzzle without having a picture to guide me ?
How very funny and surprising for you to ask me that..
You see most times that is what we do.We try to understand our lives without actually knowing the real picture of what our life is all about.
When we cant understand the direction our life is taking, we become frustrated.
Why do you become frustrated?Because you are trying to put together something that you have absolutely no idea about.!
WHAT CAUSES FRUSTRATIONS IN OUR LIVES
Our life is like a jigsaw puzzle I just mentioned above.There are many seasons of our lives
Some are good some bad and some seasons are extremely ugly. Most times we don’t really have an idea why we are going through such Seasons.
Especially if you have been working with God faithfully.
It is quite easy to fall into frustration or depression during these seasons.But I thank God you’re reading this today.
.Because I want to remind you and myself about the scripture in Isaiah 55 vs 8 that says
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord..
as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my
thoughts than your thoughts”
If God says his ways are far above our ways,we therefore cannot fully comprehend the directions of our lives.
We need on the order hand to understand
the ways of the God who created us. Any manufacturer that creates any products,
has a reason and a purpose specific to that product.
We are God’s products . For us to understand and know the directions of our life, we must first ask GOD our manufacturer.
HOW CAN WE KNOW GODS WAYS
The book of John 15:2 says “ I am the true Vine and my father is the
vine dresser every branch in me that does not bear fruit he cuts away
and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes , that it may become
even more fruitful.”
The question now is, how would you know that what you’re going through is actually
God PRUNING YOU and PREPARING YOU to bear more fruits for him?
The only way to know this is to know the thoughts of God concerning you particularly.
How then can you know the thoughts of God concerning you?
very simple,
Ask God to let you know His thoughts.!
Many times we spent most of our time of prayer asking God for his power rather than asking him FOR HIS THOUGHTS. Knowing Gods thoughts is much more important in our daily walk with him.
WHY SHOULD YOU KNOW GODS WAYS
When God first calls you for a purpose, He shows you the ending
The reason he does this is because between the time He shows you and the time it becomes a reality is a period OF PREPARATION.
This time of preparation for the picture that he has already shown you is filled with different seasons.
Some of those seasons may be quite challenging.
This period of preparation will last as long as it takes for you to be prepared for the work He wants to use you to do.
When you are aware of the ending and what you stand to gain,you will not loos hope during the time of challenges.
That is why you should know Gods ways.
HOW DOES KNOWLEDGE OF GODS WAYS REDUCE FRUSTRATIONS
A pregnant woman always has 3 months of sickness, vomiting headache Waist pain and what have you.
Despite all these discomfort, She never aborts a child.
This is because she knows that in 9 months, all the
discomfort will be forgotten when her baby comes.
We can also have this mentality when we have the knowledge and understanding of Gods ways. Especially when we’re going through certain unexplainable seasons in our lives.
CONCLUSION
Some seasons of our lives are short. some Seasons long some
other seasons are frustratingly very long.
If we can only understand Gods ways, we will know that God will use all these seasons to achieve a greater purpose for our lives .
With this understanding, there is NO WAY we can become frustrated.
