Do you know that as Christians,we have so much power.
Unfortunately,many do not know how to use it. We read about it every day in the bible. Power and authority of beleiver scriptures abound.
Similarly there are a lot of sermons on the authority of a believer.
Yet majority of christians today remain powerless.
The question is ,WHY?
And HOW can we get the power and authority of God:
These are the questions I will try to answer in this blog post.
DO WE HAVE THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF GOD?
There are a lot of scriptures in the bible.Very clear scriptures that promise us the power and Authority of God.
For example,Luke 10:19
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
9 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Now you know that as a christian, we have power and authority from God.
The next question is:
HOW DO YOU RECEIVE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF GOD?
The power of God is in you.
As long as you believe in Christ Jesus and the power of his name.
Secondly you have received the holy spirit.And subsequently walk acording to his leading
When you do these things first,then you will automatically receive power and authority of God.
The question now is how to use your spiritual authority in every situation.
HOW TO ACTIVATE THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF GOD:
This is the area you have been waiting for.
There is a secret to activate the power and authority of God in you.
And subsequently,use it to overcome all situations.
The secret is in the story of the centurion.luke 7 : 1-10.
Please pause from reading my post and quicly go through this passage.If you can understand this sripture,you will know how to activate and use the power and authority of God.
My emphasis will be on verse 8 and 9:
For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
This centurion is aware of all the miracles Jesus has done.In this passage,He is stating somthing very important.
The reason Jesus could do this miracles was because he subjected himself under a higher authority.
Secondly,because he was subject to a higer authority,He was also given authority over things.
HOW TO USE YOUR SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY IN ANY SITUATION:
There are two ways to achieve this.
Firstly,Be subject to Gods Authority.
secondly, submit yourself to the authority God has placed over you on earth.
Paul in this passage explains the levels of authorities God has established on earth. So therefore,the secret to using the power and authority of God is first to know and submit to Gods instituted authority on earth.
For instance,In that passage ,Paul said that slaves should submit to their masters.In todays world,it simple means employees should respect the authority of the employer.
If you are cheating or stealing from your employer,you have not submitted to Gods instituted authority in your place of work.!

You cannot have authority over the things under you ,If you do not submit to the authority God has placed over you.
That is the secret on how to walk in the power and authority of God.
Sometimes, you may not achieve this by human effort.You need to pray to God to help you submit to his authority.Not only that,but to also submit to the Authority He has placed over you.
